The Mission of Benchmark Family Services is to provide stable and caring placements for youth in need of out of-home care. Our mission is to advocate for children by ensuring reasonable opportunities for healthy physical, psychological and emotional growth and development in the most normal and least restrictive setting possible.

To this end, Benchmark Family Services will provide and coordinate programs and services in cooperation with referring child welfare agencies. Benchmark Family Services is committed to the highest standards of childcare and professionalism.

Benchmark Family Services (BFS) was originally incorporated in March of 1994 as a non-profit agency for the purpose of providing stable and caring placements for youth in need of out-of-home care. Benchmark provides and coordinates programs and services in cooperation with referring agencies. Our network of specifically trained therapeutic foster homes represents years of experience in dealing with troubled youth. Benchmark's case management staff engages proactively with our families and foster children to help each youth find his strengths and work through his problems. Benchmark has placed thousands of youth throughout Kentucky, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, and Virginia. At this time, Benchmark has twenty seven office locations.
